Tinsel Toes Christmas Shoppe is a sister-owned year-round Christmas shop in South Africa specializing in beautiful, handcrafted Advent and Christmas decorations.
We pride ourselves in handcrafting and curating Christmas decorations that are truly unique. Many of our Christmas decorations are locally sourced from artisans right here in South Africa, and many are made by our very own Christmas Elves.
Tinsel Toes is more than a shop, we strive to capture and spread the true essence of the Christmas spirit in everything we do.

Our Story
Our story began over a decade ago.

Tinsel Toes Christmas Shop started out as a passion project by two sister-besties who share a love for Christmas that dates back as far as our earliest memories. Back then it was just us crafting away for local markets dreaming of one day opening our very own Christmas Shop. Since then we've been on many journeys together & apart. But even when oceans separated us we always connected in spirit around our favourite time of year - Christmas!
Well, a few years ago, the North Star finally aligned in somewhat less than desirable circumstances - the tech company we worked for folded suddenly. We had one week to prepare for the closure, and the ramifications were widespread for many people. But you know what we say in the North Pole? When life gives you plums - make sugar plums. And that's exactly what we did.
With nothing to lose and at the very least only extra cheer to gain, we set about (with the stamina of true Elves) making our lifelong passion - Christmas Cheer - a tangible part of our quotidian reality. Three weeks, many late nights and early mornings, countless creative bursts, and a bit of Christmas magic later, Tinsel Toes Christmas Shop was born. On 18 October 2021, our little Christmas shoppe launched in South Africa on Instagram to the excitement of fellow Christmasphiles and slowly grew over the following months.
And here we stand strong and jolly - our year-round Christmas shoppe stocks locally made Christmas decorations and gifts. We design and handcraft many of our products and constantly work on making beloved Christmas treasures of olde a local, South African reality.
